UTA Edenred, a mobility service provider in Europe, plans to continue the event series „Champ on the Road“ in 2026. This initiative honors the dedication of professional drivers on the roads of Europe. In collaboration with various acceptance partners, event days will be organized at selected gas stations in several European countries. Drivers can receive free snacks, refreshments, as well as practical equipment and travel accessories for their trips after refueling their vehicles. New this year is that the initiative also targets e-truck drivers and business customers traveling with electric cars.
Event Details in Germany
In Germany, the „Champ on the Road“ event will take place on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Shell Station in Ramstein-Miesenbach. UTA Edenred has already conducted events this year in Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, and Italy. Additional countries are in planning, with exact dates and locations to be announced in due time on the website uta.com/events. The event series will continue into the fall.
Last year, over 800 drivers were honored at 18 events in seven countries. The series was launched in 2023. Lukas Schneider, Director Partners & Commercial EMEA at UTA Edenred, expressed his pleasure at including electric vehicle drivers in the event. „We are excited to involve electric vehicle drivers in our ‚Champ on the Road‘ event together with Shell, highlighting the versatility of our services for all fleet types,“ said Schneider.
Infrastructure for Electric Vehicles
Schneider also emphasized the need for a functioning infrastructure for the new drive technology. „The fast-charging network is being rapidly expanded across Europe. But anyone who embraces the new drive technology must also be able to rely on a functioning infrastructure. UTA Edenred is ready as a competent partner with its eCharge solutions,“ Schneider added.
The events are made possible through collaboration with acceptance partners, whom UTA Edenred thanks for their support.
