Hanse Bereederung has celebrated its 50th anniversary as a specialist in charter and sale & purchase services. According to a statement, the company reflects on five decades distinguished by commercial expertise, customer service, and long-term relationships in various shipping markets.
Originally founded to manage smaller multipurpose vessels, Hanse Bereederung has evolved into a player in the field of container feeder vessels. Today, the company offers various services, including charter, sale & purchase, operational, and pool management. With a fleet of approximately 50 ships, Hanse Bereederung’s market position has expanded compared to its early years. According to the company, the majority of the fleet now consists of multipurpose vessels operated by the Australia Asia Line. Additionally, Hanse Bereederung controls about 20 container ships and is active in the charter business with bulk carriers, including Kamsarmax vessels.
Strategic focus on growth
The next phase of the company’s development, according to the company, focuses on expanding sale & purchase activities. Hanse Bereederung plans to strengthen its presence in Asia, attract new customers, and further solidify its position as a specialized broker. These efforts are supported by the international reach and resources of the Columbia Group, to which Hanse Bereederung belongs.
