Fulfillment center opens in Schifferstadt

Spring GDS has opened a new fulfillment center in Schifferstadt. The company, which is part of the PostNL group and specializes in international shipping solutions, presented the new location in the presence of representatives from politics and business, including the mayor of Schifferstadt, Ilona Volk.

With an operational area of approximately 10,000 m², the fulfillment center is expected to handle up to four million packages annually. The site offers a range of services that includes goods receipt, pick-and-pack procedures, worldwide shipping, and returns management. According to the company, the social impact company Too Good To Go is already utilizing the center as its first major customer.

During the opening, Spring GDS announced the launch of a specialized fulfillment solution for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This is the „One-Stop-Shop“, which aims to connect to common shop systems.
