Jun 6, 2025 at 9:27 AMDHL Aviation, the air freight organization of DHL Express, has launched Xcelerate, a premium express air freight product that allows customers to access exceptional service and prioritize shipments. This innovative offering provides the fastest available shipping options with guaranteed capacity and shorter transit times.
(Bonn) The product also allows for the acceptance of last-minute freight with immediate booking confirmation. With this, DHL targets customers seeking expedited logistics solutions and expands its range of international air freight products for forwarders and large shippers.
Ingrid Raj, Global Head of Aviation Commercial at DHL Express, stated: “We are excited to offer our freight customers a premium option that resembles the experience of passengers with certain airlines. This ‘Must-Fly’ offering was developed based on customer feedback and collaboration across various departments.” Paul Ennis, VP of Global Operations at DHL Aviation, emphasized the commitment to excellence, noting: “With the launch of Xcelerate, we fulfill our customer promise of ‘Excellence, Simply Delivered’ by providing the highest possible flexibility and attention to our customers’ freight with a standardized, easily accessible service.”
Furthermore, Xcelerate ensures prioritized clearance at destinations, so even shipments that arrive last are picked up first. A dedicated customer service team monitors shipments from dispatch to delivery and keeps customers informed via email notifications throughout the process to ensure seamless handling.
In Line with Sustainability Goals
The introduction of Xcelerate not only expands the product portfolio but also aligns with DHL’s sustainability goals by integrating the mandatory contribution for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). This initiative supports DHL’s commitment to achieve a SAF share of over 30% by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050.
