Jun 12, 2026 at 2:10 PMThe Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) and Trans.eu Group have launched a new platform based on TAPA’s security standards. The „Certified Carrier Exchange“ aims to create a secure environment for freight transactions, where all participating carriers hold a valid TAPA TSR certification. This initiative was presented during the TAPA EMEA Annual Conference in Oberhausen, Germany.
A New Security Concept for Freight Transport
According to a study by the European Parliament, annual global losses due to freight crime amount to approximately $40 billion, with damages in the EU alone reaching up to €8.3 billion annually. Crime has evolved, with organized criminal groups using methods such as identity fraud and fake carrier profiles to circumvent security requirements. The „Certified Carrier Exchange“ aims to close this security gap by combining Trans.eu’s security infrastructure with TAPA’s independently verified TSR certification framework.
Thorsten Neumann (far right), President and CEO of TAPA EMEA, stated: „No freight exchange platform can guarantee absolute security. However, our goal is to minimize risks and losses by creating a platform based on the highest security standards, where transparency, verification, and reliability are integrated at every level.“ The certifications are not only claimed but are subject to strict control and management by TAPA.
Integration of Security and Efficiency
The „Certified Carrier Exchange“ is a closed environment within the Trans.eu technology that seamlessly connects TSR security standards with the operational requirements of the logistics sector. Access to the platform is exclusively reserved for carriers with a valid TSR certification. These certifications are verified in real-time against the TAPA database, meaning they are continuously validated and actively managed under TAPA’s supervision.
Carriers and freight forwarders, including those who are not TAPA members, can access the platform and connect with this verified pool of capacities. This significantly reduces the manual security screening effort while providing assurance that every carrier meets the recognized TAPA standard for freight and transport protection.
For certified carriers, the platform opens access to high-quality freight orders that achieve better prices and require higher security standards. Users also benefit from a complete transaction cycle within the Trans.eu platform, allowing offers to be processed in minutes rather than days.
The partnership between TAPA EMEA and Trans.eu Group aims to bring about a significant transformation in the logistics sector by transitioning from simple freight brokerage to a verified, highly secure ecosystem. Trans.eu operates one of the most rigorous procedures for verifying carriers in Europe and processes over 11 million load offers monthly.
The „Certified Carrier Exchange“ will officially be available starting July 1, 2026. Interested parties can already sign up for early access.
