The Allianz Zukunft Reifen (AZuR) has formed a partnership with SIEMENS AG for the digital transformation in the tire and recycling industry. The technology company, which operates in the field of Digital Industries, will join the alliance starting in April 2026. This step is regarded by the association as a sign of promoting a sustainable tire circular economy, as it states. SIEMENS will contribute its expertise in automation and digitalization to the Europe-wide network.
Focus on the lifecycle of tires
The partnership aims to accelerate the development of a sustainable tire value chain. According to the association, SIEMENS is pursuing an approach that encompasses the entire lifecycle of tires. A particular emphasis is placed on the end-of-life segment, where SIEMENS plans to further expand its ecosystem. SIEMENS will work closely with various stakeholders in the value chain as part of its membership, including raw material suppliers, machine manufacturers, and producers.
