Of this, approximately 67,500 m² is located in Niedersachsenpark Rieste near Osnabrück, and 30,500 m² is in a logistics property at the Duisburg port. This expansion enables Goodcang Logistics to expand its network of locations in Germany and increase storage capacity for online retailers distributing their products through e-commerce platforms.
Expansion of the Location Network
Tom Herrschaft, Head of Real Estate Management at Garbe Industrial, commented on the new lease agreements: “Especially in these economically challenging times, we are very pleased with this double success. The special efforts of our asset management in recent weeks have paid off.” The two new locations and the quality of the properties convinced Goodcang Logistics. The company, founded in 2020, handles the storage and distribution of goods for online retailers.
In Niedersachsenpark Rieste, located about 30 kilometers north of Osnabrück directly off the A 1, Goodcang Logistics is taking over two properties. One of the properties has a total area of approximately 49,000 m², while the other is around 18,500 m². Both properties were built in 2022 according to current sustainability criteria and are certified to the Gold Standard of the German Sustainable Building Council. The lease agreement was facilitated by BNP Paribas Real Estate.
Garbe Industrial also manages another fully leased property in Niedersachsenpark Rieste with a total area of approximately 23,000 m². Tenants of this property include a logistics service provider and a manufacturer of assembly systems for photovoltaic systems.
Logistics Location Duisburg
The logistics property that Goodcang Logistics is taking over in Duisburg was built in 2007 and is located in the Logport area in the Rheinhausen district, one of the most significant logistics locations in Germany. The Duisburg Intermodal Terminal, which connects water, road, and rail transport, is just a few hundred meters away. In Duisburg, Goodcang Logistics will utilize approximately 28,500 m² of hall space, 1,500 m² of office space, and 500 m² of mezzanine space. The brokerage firm Realogis Immobilien Düsseldorf provided advisory services for the lease agreement.
The legal advice for both lease agreements was provided by the law firm Taylor Wessing.
