Jul 15, 2026 at 9:32 AMThe Memmingen heavy-duty specialist Goldhofer has announced the establishment of its first production facility in North America. The new site will be located in Hickory, North Carolina, and involves an investment of over 20 million USD. With this measure, the company plans to create at least 80 new jobs by the end of 2030. Goldhofer, which develops innovative transport solutions for heavy-duty, special, and long-material transports, as well as efficient solutions for the apron and particularly for aircraft and freight transport, aims to significantly strengthen its manufacturing and service capacities in the North American market through this expansion.
Details about the new production facility
The production hall will be located in the Trivium Corporate Center and will cover an area of 80,000 square feet, which is approximately 7,400 m². Goldhofer has already planned further expansion phases to respond to the growing demand in the region. The new site is intended to enable the company to better serve its customers in North America while reaffirming its long-term commitment to growth and investment in this market.
The decision to choose Hickory as the location was made to leverage the logistical advantages and proximity to key markets in North America. Goldhofer intends to not only expand its production capacities through this investment but also to improve the services for its customers on-site.
With this expansion, Goldhofer takes another step in its international growth strategy and reaffirms its ambitions to establish a stronger presence in the North American market.
