The company, which specializes in electric drive solutions for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning technology, has established an automated fulfillment center in collaboration with the Austrian company TGW Logistics. This center is expected to significantly enhance warehouse efficiency and throughput, as reported by TGW Logistics.
Space utilization as a challenge
According to TGW Logistics, the centerpiece of the new logistics center is an automated mini-load warehouse with over 11,000 storage locations. The implementation of this technology represents a response to the demands for storage capacity and efficiency, according to the company. The particular challenge of the project lay in the optimal utilization of the available space. Thanks to TGW’s concept, this challenge has been successfully addressed.
Belimo, founded in 1975 in Switzerland, has established itself as a global market leader in the development and manufacturing of field devices for controlling heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The company employs around 2,800 people worldwide and recently achieved a revenue of over 1.1 billion Swiss francs.
