Freight transport in Berlin & Brandenburg significantly declining
Jun 24, 2026 at 3:12 PMThe YellowFox GmbH has introduced a new digital process for driver briefings in tachograph management. With the integration of the EMMA app into the TachoComplete solution, the entire process from data evaluation to documentation of the briefings is automated. This enables efficient handling of the legal requirements in driving personnel law.
Companies are required to train and brief their driving personnel on the use of digital tachographs. Traditionally, this is done through the creation and archiving of briefing protocols, which is often associated with significant effort. YellowFox’s new solution aims to simplify this process. The EMMA app allows the violation overview to be transmitted directly and digitally to the drivers, eliminating any media disruption. The protocols are available in twenty languages, reducing the effort for companies and driving personnel.
Digital Process for More Transparency
In the EMMA app, drivers are guided through a structured process in which they are presented with the violations individually along with corresponding explanations. Only after reviewing all violations can they digitally sign the protocol. This completed briefing is automatically transmitted to the YellowFox portal, where it is accessible to the company. Additionally, drivers continue to have access to the briefings via the app and can present them during inspections by the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM).
Another feature of the EMMA app is the ability for drivers to document violations in advance. This is particularly relevant, as not all violations, such as driving time exceedances due to traffic jams, can be avoided. Drivers can photograph tachograph prints on the same day and add notes, which increases traceability.
The digital briefings via the EMMA app provide a flexible and transparent solution for violation analysis and briefing. By eliminating printouts, translation work, and appointment coordination, the process is significantly simplified. Companies already using the TachoComplete solution can integrate the digital briefings at no additional cost. The EMMA app is available for free on Android and iOS.
With this development, YellowFox positions itself as a provider that meets the demands of modern tachograph management, offering a user-friendly solution for both companies and driving personnel.
