The Rhenus Group and COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers Co., Ltd have recently entered into a strategic partnership aimed at expanding logistics and transport capabilities at the Rhenus Cuxport location in Cuxhaven. This collaboration is formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and is intended to combine the expertise of both companies in the areas of project cargo, heavy lift, and special transports, as Rhenus reports.
Optimization of supply chains in Europe
The partnership between Rhenus and COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers Co., Ltd focuses, according to company statements, on improving supply chain solutions and the digital integration of port and shipping processes. COSCO SHIPPING contributes a fleet of over 200 specialized vessels to the cooperation. Rhenus will provide its logistics resources in Cuxhaven as part of this collaboration. This includes terminals, storage areas, and various transport connections that encompass both national and international links. The infrastructure of the location is considered crucial for creating an effective multi-purpose and project logistics hub in Germany.
