Webfleet offers tool for optimizing fuel consumption
Apr 29, 2026 at 11:35 AMThe Messe Dortmund is expanding its thematic offerings for BUILDINX 2026 to include the area of data centers. This is in response to a growing market whose requirements overlap with those of logistics and industrial real estate in many aspects. Key topics include the availability of space, energy supply, sustainability aspects, technical solutions for buildings, and facility management.
Expansion of the Data Center Theme
As Messe Dortmund announces, the area of data centers will be more prominently featured in the upcoming edition of BUILDINX. The topic was already represented in the supporting program of previous events, with exhibiting companies presenting solutions for energy supply and fire protection. The inclusion of eco – Association of the Internet Industry as a partner will integrate expertise in digital infrastructure and data centers into the conference program.
Sabine Loos, Managing Director of the Westfalenhallen Group, emphasizes the importance of data centers: “The demand is growing rapidly in Germany and Europe, along with the requirements for space, energy, sustainability, and technical infrastructure.” She sees the stronger anchoring of this area as a logical step, as many challenges are closely linked to modern logistics and industrial real estate. The collaboration with eco is intended to bring additional expertise and increase relevance for companies that consider the lifecycle of future-proof real estate holistically.
Linking Real Estate and Digital Infrastructure
BUILDINX will increasingly address the interfaces between real estate and digital infrastructure in the future. This includes aspects such as new construction and space issues, supply security, resilience, ESG criteria, as well as integration into existing networks and the technical equipment of buildings. In doing so, BUILDINX positions itself as a platform along the entire value chain of innovative real estate for logistics, industry, and data centers.
The Federal Association of Logistics (BVL) will continue to be a professional partner of the fair and will significantly shape the conference and meeting program with the topic area of logistics real estate. The inclusion of eco expands the platform with practical perspectives from a dynamic infrastructure segment.
The next BUILDINX will take place from November 17 to 19, 2026, at Messe Dortmund.
