Aparkado has announced the integration of „Happy Trucker“ into the „LKW.APP“ to combine digital parking search with direct booking options. This aims to address the challenges of planning legally mandated breaks, which often lead to unnecessary fuel consumption and lost working time in the transport sector, as stated by the company.
The integration of „Happy Trucker“ is intended to allow drivers and companies to reliably book truck parking spaces along their route. This is meant to support reliable planning of break times. According to the provider, the „LKW.APP“ has developed into one of the largest parking databases in Europe, with over 50,000 recorded truck parking spaces and more than 300,000 downloads.
App features
A real-time traffic light system informs users about the current occupancy of parking spaces and provides forecasts for the next 15 hours. Additionally, drivers have access to over 30 filters to specifically search for parking spaces. Users can also create individual truck profiles that include information on dimensions and weight. Based on this, the app enables route-based planning that reliably considers specific restrictions.
