Jul 6, 2026 at 9:42 AMThe company specialized in digital logistics solutions, cargonerds, has appointed Dennis Albers as the new Managing Director. This decision took effect on July 1, 2026. Albers takes over the position from Conrad Franchi, who will focus on his role as Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at the Bremen-based freight forwarder Röhlig Logistics. Franchi sees the handover as an important step for the further development of the company.
He emphasizes that Albers has been part of the team from the beginning and significantly influenced product development. „Dennis has decisively shaped our product development. Therefore, he is the right person to lead the company into the next phase,“ explains Franchi.
Experience and expertise
Albers brings many years of experience in the logistics industry as well as extensive technology expertise. After various positions at Röhlig Logistics, he has been responsible for product development since the founding of cargonerds in 2021. In his new role, he will continue to drive the digital transformation of the company.
„Our goal is to develop digital solutions that concretely simplify the daily work of freight forwarders – from pricing and booking to tracking, reporting, and CO₂, individually tailored to each customer,“ Albers states regarding the company’s future plans.
With the appointment of Albers, cargonerds is focusing on continuity in corporate management and the further development of its digital solution portfolio. The company offers digital solutions for air and sea freight and supports customers worldwide in digitizing their logistics processes.
cargonerds was founded in November 2021 as an independent software company spun off from Röhlig Logistics and is based in Hamburg. The company develops tools such as Pricing Manager, Live Tracking, Customer Portal, Reporting, and CO₂ Calculator. A team of ten specialists in software development, digitization, data analytics, and AI is working to support freight forwarders globally.
