Bicil becomes Chief Transformation Officer at Log-hub
Jun 30, 2026 at 9:47 AMID Logistics Germany has signed a new contract in the field of contract logistics with C&A. The fashion company plans to further optimize its supply chain through collaboration with the logistics service provider, as stated. The agreement includes both transportation and distribution services for hanging and flat goods. ID Logistics Germany will handle domestic transportation between C&A’s own distribution centers as well as the delivery to stores in the Netherlands.
According to ID Logistics, C&A’s central distribution centers in Germany and neighboring EU countries are located in Aschaffenburg, Höchstadt, Mienenbüttel, Peine, and Wickrath. At these locations, goods are received and prepared for further transport. ID Logistics Germany plans to transport 76 million textiles annually as part of the cooperation, which means up to 50 full truckloads per day during peak times. For these transports, 200 swap bodies specifically designed for hanging goods will be used.
Ingrid Ebner, Chief Supply Chain Officer of C&A Europe, explains: „A central challenge for our logistics is the high volume fluctuations due to seasonality. During the delivery of winter and summer collections, these can peak at up to 60 percent.“ She emphasizes that ID Logistics has impressed with a scalable transportation solution and high turnover speed. Additionally, seamless integration into existing processes has been of crucial importance.
