Jun 10, 2026 at 10:42 AMGarbe Industrial is planning the construction of a new industrial park in Soest, North Rhine-Westphalia. Construction is set to begin in the second quarter and will create a total area of approximately 19,200 square meters for various tenants on a plot of about 28,700 square meters. The property is aimed at companies in the fields of production, trade, industry, logistics, e-commerce, and light industrial.
The site is located in the southeast of Soest, just a few hundred meters from the A 44 motorway, which provides a direct connection to the cities of Unna and Kassel. The Soest-Ost interchange can be reached in less than a minute without passing through the town. Frank Soppa, Regional Head West / Development at Garbe Industrial, emphasizes the advantages of the location: “The location on the eastern edge of the Ruhr area, with optimal access to the highway network and a well-established economic structure with a wide range of industries, makes Soest a significant location in North Rhine-Westphalia.” Soppa sees great potential, especially in the areas of logistics, storage, and distribution.
New Construction with Modern Standards
The area was previously the site of a wholesaler for agricultural machinery spare parts. The old buildings were demolished to make way for a modern property. A new building is planned with a hall area of approximately 17,000 square meters, complemented by around 1,700 square meters of storage space on intermediate levels and 500 square meters for offices and social rooms. For loading and unloading trucks, 17 loading docks and two ground-level sectional doors are planned. Additionally, parking spaces for 40 cars and three trucks will be created on the outdoor area.
Garbe Industrial aims for certification according to the Gold Standard of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). To generate renewable energy, a photovoltaic system is planned for the roof. The heating of the building is to be provided by heat pumps, thereby avoiding the use of fossil energy sources. The completion of the property is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026. The real estate agency Leben+Raum Immobilien was involved in the property purchase in Soest.
