The Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Transport Europe GmbH (MTTE) presented its latest cooling units at this year’s conference of Transfrigoroute Deutschland e.V. The event took place in early May 2026 at the „Innovatorium“ in Osnabrück and provided a platform for discussing current developments in thermologistics.
Focus on Fully Electric Cooling Technology
A central theme of the conference was the electrification of trucks and logistics depots. MTTE Managing Director Björn Reckhorn emphasized the relevance of this topic: „With our electric cooling machines, we demonstrate that the shift in drive technology is underway not only in vehicle traction but also in cooling technology.“ The presentation highlighted the fully electric TEF1500 cooling unit for trailers, which was also displayed as an exhibit.
Additionally, Maxwell + Spark, a supplier for the external battery of the TEF1500, was present and could explain the technical details of the collaboration. MTTE also presented the innovative cooling unit of the Preciso TEK series, specifically designed for distribution traffic in the weight range of 3.5 to 7.5 tons.
The event was rated positively by participants and offered numerous opportunities for networking and discussing future developments in cooling technology.
