Wallenius Wilhelmsen has expanded its service offerings for trade with Northern Finland and Sweden through a new partnership with Wallenius SOL. This collaboration enables the region to be integrated into the company’s global network via Bremerhaven. The expansion aims to increase capacity, broaden port coverage, and facilitate manufacturers in the region in reaching international markets. At the same time, it supports the reliable delivery of cargo to the region.
The new trade connection provides manufacturers in Northern Finland and Sweden with a more predictable access to Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s global services. „Capacity and reach are being added where needed, and it builds on routes that our customers are already relying on,“ explains Vedran Muratbegovic, Senior Vice President for Industry at Wallenius Wilhelmsen.
Enhanced transport solutions for the region
In addition to the strengthened northern services, the company continues to offer weekly sailings to and from Turku, which are also connected via Bremerhaven. These services are designed to provide flexible and predictable transport solutions for customers in the region, whether shipping cargo to global markets or bringing goods to Northern Finland and Sweden.
The expanded services will be carried out with a modern and flexible fleet of RoRo vessels capable of transporting cars, rolling stock, and breakbulk. Wallenius Wilhelmsen and Wallenius SOL are also closely collaborating on sustainability initiatives, with the shared goal of improving efficiency and reducing emissions in their operations.

With the expanded coverage in Finland and Sweden, customers also have access to services to and from Paldiski in Estonia, offered by both Wallenius Wilhelmsen and Wallenius SOL.
