A recent survey on the situation in European road freight transport shows a deterioration in sentiment among logistics professionals. More than 270 experts from freight forwarding companies, transport companies, as well as production and trade were surveyed by Timocom. The result presents a mixed picture: 52.4 percent of respondents assess the current market situation as rather poor or very poor, while 47.6 percent rate it as rather good or very good.
Change in sentiment compared to last year
Compared to the survey conducted in January and February 2026, sentiment has worsened. At that time, 42.0 percent of participants reported a negative assessment of the market situation, while 58.0 percent provided a positive evaluation. In the current survey, this ratio has nearly reversed: the share of negative assessments increased by 10.4 percentage points, while positive evaluations decreased by the same amount.
