May 28, 2026 at 12:04 PMThe annual general meeting of the Federal Association of Logistics (BVL) e.V. took place as stipulated by the statutes. The 48th general meeting held yesterday was conducted at EDEKA Minden-Hannover. Approximately 50 members attended in person, while 145 others had delegated their votes to those present.
Regular board elections were again on the agenda. The general meeting unanimously elected high-profile representatives from the logistics sector to the board:
- Markus Bangen, CEO, duisport – Duisburger Hafen AG, was previously the chairman of the BVL advisory board
- Tobias Jerschke, Managing Director, Kuehne + Nagel (AG & Co.) KG
- Sebastian Peters, Member of the Management Board & Senior Vice President & global Head of Operations, Airbus Aircraft
- Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Thorsten Schmidt, Professor, Technische Universität Dresden, Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of the BVL
- Tobias Schmidt, CEO Europe, DHL Global Forwarding Management GmbH
Unanimously re-elected for a new term were:
- Kai Althoff, Chairman of the Board of the BVL and CEO, 4flow SE
- Marcus Dirks, Managing Director, Dirks Group GmbH & Co. KG
- Jens Drewes, CEO, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics SE & Co. KG
- Ilse Henne, Member of the Executive Board, thyssenkrupp AG
- Dr. Kerstin Höfle, formerly VP R&D and Product Management, Körber Supply Chain GmbH
- Simon Motter, Head of Volkswagen Group Logistics GmbH & CO. KG
- Kay Schiebur, Member of the Executive Board Services, Otto Group
- Christina Thurner, Member of the Supervisory Board, LOXXESS AG
The following members were farewell from the BVL board:
- Dr. Sigrid Evelyn Nikutta, Former Board Member for Freight Transport Deutsche Bahn AG and Chairwoman of the Board, DB Cargo AG
- Tim Scharwath, Former CEO DHL Global Forwarding, Freight, Deutsche Post AG
- Dr. Jörn Fontius, Former CEO, BEUMER Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG
The new auditor elected was:
- Heiko Müller, Head of Logistics Solutions, HEC GmbH
Farewell as auditor was:
- Dr. Andreas Mansch, Managing Director, AM-Werk Unternehmensberatung
