V-Mart digitizes warehouse processes with WMS from SSI Schäfer
Apr 23, 2026 at 11:29 AMInfios has announced the successful implementation of its Warehouse Management System (WM) at POCO. The logistics center in Trebbin is the first location where the new solution has been put into operation. This measure is part of a comprehensive program aimed at standardizing and modernizing logistics processes across the entire POCO network, the largest furniture and DIY discounter in Germany.
Founded in 1989, POCO sells a wide range of products, including furniture, kitchens, electrical appliances, and DIY items, through 127 physical retail outlets as well as a growing e-commerce business. The company’s logistics network includes a central goods receipt warehouse, several regional distribution centers, and an automated e-commerce fulfillment center.
The existing ERP-based warehouse and logistics modules reached their limits due to the increasing complexity of operational processes. Furniture logistics presents particular challenges, especially regarding the dimensions and weights of goods as well as the various packaging formats. Products often need to be managed, stored, picked, and shipped in different packaging as cohesive units. Additionally, complete transparency at the component level is required. These challenges necessitate sophisticated execution intelligence and real-time transparency that traditional ERP systems cannot provide.
With the introduction of Infios WM, POCO separates warehouse execution from the ERP system and implements a modular architecture specifically designed for the intelligent execution of supply chains. This solution enables POCO to standardize core processes across the logistics network while flexibly adapting workflows and automation interfaces to local requirements. This includes specific requirements for the logistics of large items and multiple packaging.
The successful go-live in Trebbin serves as a template for further implementation at other locations. A second site, combining import and regional warehouse functions, is expected to be operational by the end of 2026. Following this introduction, Infios WM will be rapidly implemented at the remaining locations, utilizing reusable templates of industry-specific configurations to quickly generate value.
Dirk Teschner, Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Infios, commented on the implementation: “Infios Warehouse Management provides the necessary intelligence to operate complex, multi-channel supply chains at scale. For POCO, we configured the solution to reflect the operational DNA of the furniture industry—particularly the precise coordination required for handling products with multiple packaging.”
Infios’s Intelligent Supply Chain Execution platform also allows for the expansion of the WM system with complementary modules such as slotting and yard management. This is intended to assist POCO in optimizing inbound and outbound processes as well as inventory management in light of further growth.
