Mar 27, 2026 at 3:55 PMThe LogiMAT 2026 has closed its doors in Stuttgart after three days of the trade fair, setting new records in several categories according to the organizers. According to trade fair director Michael Ruchty from EUROEXPO, it was not expected that the event would achieve record numbers in all areas given the current economic challenges. Nevertheless, the high number of participants demonstrates that companies are willing to invest counter-cyclically in times of crisis.
The motto of the event was „PASSION FOR DETAILS – Discover the Difference.“ A total of 1,671 exhibitors from 46 countries presented their latest developments on a net exhibition area of 68,969 m² spread across ten halls, as reported by the organizers. Among them were 296 companies participating in LogiMAT for the first time. The trade fair recorded more than 120 world and European premieres. The share of international exhibitors rose to 37 percent, with one in five companies coming from overseas and Asia. In total, 69,856 trade visitors attended the fair, an increase of 4,137 compared to the previous year, surpassing the previous record of 67,420 visitors in 2024.
Product groups and business successes
The leading product groups at the fair included conveyor and storage technology (38.2%), software for simulation, storage systems, and inventory management (37.1%), as well as industrial trucks and accessories (34.8%). Additionally, 30.2 percent of exhibitors showcased exhibits in the field of information and communication technology, while 28.2 percent presented autonomous transport vehicles (FTF) and autonomous mobile robots (AMR).
An evaluation by the Basel market research institute Wissler & Partner found that more than half of the trade visitors (56%) were decision-makers. 35.9 percent of the visitors came to the fair with concrete investment plans. During the event, various exhibitors reported contract signings, including the Norwegian sensor manufacturer Sonair AS, which announced a deal for the use of its ADAR sensor in an autonomous robot. Further agreements were reported between Wiferion and SEER Robotics, as well as between the Brabender Group and PTV Logistics.
