SBB Cargo plans fleet renewal by 2040
Feb 23, 2026 at 9:29 AMAs of March 1, 2024, Emons Spedition, located in Urmitz near Koblenz, will become a new system partner in the general cargo network of Online Systemlogistik (OSL). The first handling at the central HUB of OSL is scheduled for the night of March 2 to 3.
Expansion of the Partner Network
Urmitz represents the second location of Emons in the OSL network. The company has been active since 2015 with a branch in Erfurt. Previously, transport services in the Koblenz region were provided by OSL partners Hensel Logistik and Friedhelm Kunz, as well as another service provider. These partners will replace the system partner Bermel, which exited the network due to insolvency.
Verena Käuper, a member of the management board of Online Systemlogistik, expressed positive sentiments about the collaboration with Emons: “We have known and appreciated Emons in Erfurt as a reliable partner for over ten years. These are ideal conditions to extend the collaboration to another location.” Stephan Schwarz, branch manager of Emons in Urmitz, emphasizes the reliability and internationality of OSL and sees great potential in the partnership: “We are pleased that as a family-oriented, quality-loving company, we have found a partner network for our Koblenz branch with which we can further develop the location and collaborate on equal terms.”
Fair Delivery Area Regulation
As part of the new cooperation, the delivery area has been adjusted so that neighboring partners can retain their established postal code areas. Käuper emphasizes the fairness of this regulation: “Not all cooperations handle it this way, but for us, it is a matter of fairness: Those who help to provision an area temporarily should also be allowed to benefit from it.”
