Call for funding for hydrogen refueling stations
Feb 9, 2026 at 12:21 PMFlinders Port Holdings (FPH) has signed a contract with the Austrian crane manufacturer Künz to acquire an Automated Rubber-Tired Gantry Crane (ARTG). This step is part of the company’s efforts to enhance operational capabilities and improve efficiency at the Flinders Adelaide Container Terminal (FACT), as stated by the company.
Investments under the GatewaySA Program
The acquisition of the „cantilever ARTG“ is a key component of the „GatewaySA Program,“ which will invest over 300 million AUD in the FACT. This program includes several projects aimed at expanding the terminal’s infrastructure and services. Planned measures include the procurement of two additional Super Post Panamax STS cranes, a 135 m extension of the berth, and upgrades to IT systems. Additionally, new access and egress options for the terminal and the expansion of the empty container depot are planned. The creation of new cross-site services, pavements, and hardstand areas is also part of the investment strategy.
