Jungheinrich’s LiftLiner Brings More Efficiency to Intralogistics

Jungheinrich expands its product portfolio with the trailer system LiftLiner®, which allows for loading and unloading from both sides. The company will collaborate with K.Hartwall in this endeavor. The Finnish company is a global specialist in load carriers and has extensive expertise in logistics solutions.

(Hamburg) Up to eight loading units of the LiftLiner® trailer system can be coupled with Jungheinrich electric tugs from the EZS series 1, 3, and 5. “The tugger train system creates an innovative and effective towing solution with an incomparably compact design,” says Matthias Maurin, head of the tug product segment at Jungheinrich. The patented steering offers a tight turning radius and high maneuverability. High safety and ergonomics during use are essential features of the system.

A special tilting technology of the LiftLiner® allows for ergonomic loading and unloading from both sides. With the equipped tugger trains, flexible and efficient production supply can be implemented in companies of all sizes. The solution also proves advantageous in the logistics and shipping sector. “The user-friendly, streamlined solution contributes to the streamlining of processes and significantly reduces costs,” says Maurin. “Multiple transports significantly reduce personnel and vehicle deployment.”

Four Different Dimensions

In total, customers in Europe can choose from four different dimensions of the LiftLiner®, accommodating both industrial and Euro pallets. Loading units weighing up to 1,000 kilograms can be transported. The tugger trains also enable a consistent development towards fully automated solutions: Optionally, the LiftLiner® can also be towed by Jungheinrich’s automated tug EZS 350a. In addition to efficiency gains, the LiftLiner® tugger trains also offer a clear ecological advantage. The bundling of transport reduces energy consumption. The trains are usually operated in a “milk-run” method, thus avoiding empty trips.
