(Waddinxveen/NL) On July 1, Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands, visited DACHSER in Waddinxveen. During a tour of the branch and subsequent discussion rounds, he gathered detailed information on the topic of training in companies and how it can be secured even in times of crisis.
Consistent Training Even During the Crisis
Dachser Netherlands is a recognized training institution of the Dutch Foundation for Cooperation in Vocational Education, Training, and the Labor Market (SBB). Due to the Corona crisis, the SBB has launched an action plan to continue securing training offerings. Dachser sets a good example here and has consistently continued its training programs even during the recent months of crisis.
King Willem-Alexander began his visit to the Waddinxveen branch with a tour of the hall, where he engaged in conversations with numerous young people and their trainers. He then discussed with students who are about to graduate, as well as their supervisors, about their wishes and visions for their professional future. King Willem-Alexander also participated in two discussion rounds to shed more light on the topic of training in the economy. Representatives from various companies and industries, as well as from politics and administration, were invited to join the discussions.
Good Training is Part of Corporate Culture
Dachser Netherlands was named the best training company in the industry in the province of Zuid-Holland in 2018 and 2019. Aat van der Meer, Managing Director, DACHSER Benelux, stated, “Our employees are our greatest strength; people are at the center of what we do. It is wonderful to see that this approach by DACHSER is ultimately recognized even by the royal family. The royal visit was a great honor for us, and we are very grateful to our close partner SBB for making this possible.”
