Jul 8, 2026 at 7:31 AMCapaBus, a specialized service provider for the international recruitment, training, and qualification of professional drivers from third countries based in Mainz (Germany), is organizing a recruiting trip to Morocco in October 2026 to connect personnel managers from the bus and logistics industry with potential drivers from third countries. This initiative aims to address the acute driver shortage in Germany while also highlighting the challenges of recruiting from abroad.
Practical tests on-site
The trip offers participating companies the opportunity to test candidates directly on-site. CapaBus provides a 15-meter MAN tractor unit as well as modern buses for this purpose. Bernd Albrecht, operator of the CapaBus portal, emphasizes the importance of practical experience: “Gray theory and application folders do not help. You need to see how someone handles the vehicle.” All candidates also possess German language skills at least at B1 level, which facilitates communication during the interviews.
A common obstacle in recruiting from third countries is the bureaucratic effort, particularly regarding visa procedures. CapaBus offers a solution here: With the CapaEasyVisum software, the official formalities are to be largely automated to minimize the administrative burden for German employers.
Free participation and incentives for companies
Participation in the recruiting event is free for company representatives; only travel and accommodation costs of approximately 400 to 500 EUR must be borne by them. To facilitate entry, participating companies receive a recruiting voucher worth 500 EUR, which can be redeemed upon the first successful placement. Members of certain employer associations benefit from an additional bonus of 300 EUR, increasing the voucher value to a total of 800 EUR.
Four exclusive dates are planned for October 2026. Due to the limited spots for practical tests, early reservation is recommended.
