May 20, 2026 at 9:14 AMDPD Austria and myflexbox are intensifying their collaboration in the field of parcel logistics. As part of this cooperation, DPD Austria secured around 9,000 fixed compartments for parcel collection at approximately 660 myflexbox locations last year. Currently, over 200 of these parcel stations are already equipped with DPD Premium branding, increasing the visibility of the joint offering for customers.
Expansion of visibility in public spaces
The partnership between DPD Austria and myflexbox is increasingly evident in public spaces. DPD customers can now easily identify where they can flexibly pick up, send, or return their parcels. The rollout of DPD Premium branding will continue gradually to further enhance the recognizability of the parcel stations. Jonathan Grothaus (l.), CEO and founder of myflexbox, emphasizes the importance of this development: “Our infrastructure remains open to various parcel services while simultaneously creating maximum visibility for integrated partners.”
Mag. Rainer Schwarz (r.), Managing Director of DPD Austria, adds that visibility and orientation for customers are enhanced through the branding at the parcel stations. “Out-of-home solutions are part of our strategic objectives. Together with myflexbox, we are bringing our services closer to people’s everyday lives,” says Schwarz.
Market development and changing delivery preferences
Changes in the European market show a clear trend towards flexible OOH solutions. According to the Geopost E-Shopper Study conducted in the fall of 2025, the use of home delivery has decreased by 5 percentage points compared to 2023. In contrast, parcel stations have increased by 4 percentage points and now stand at 27%, while parcel shops are at 24%. This development underscores the strategic importance of open parcel stations for the last mile.
Sustainable solutions in focus
Another focus of the cooperation is the expansion of sustainable parcel station infrastructure. The solar-powered “Next-Gen Lockers” from myflexbox enable an increasing number of locations to operate energy-autonomously. These lockers do not require an external power connection but utilize photovoltaic modules and high-performance batteries for energy supply. This approach supports the sustainability goals of both companies.
