Jungheinrich has received two iF Design Awards this year for outstanding product design. The awards were given to the autonomous mobile robot EAE 212a and the high-lift truck ETV 216i, both recognized in the product design category. The international competition honors solutions that convincingly combine design, efficiency, user-friendliness, and sustainability. Jungheinrich’s products stood out among more than 10,000 submissions from 68 countries.
Innovative Solutions for Dynamic Warehouse Environments
The EAE 212a impressed the jury with its clear, functional design that emphasizes intuitive operability and high efficiency. This mobile robot belongs to a new generation of autonomous systems and was developed for flexible and safe use in dynamic warehouse environments. Its compact design facilitates integration into existing structures. Features of the EAE 212a include reliable navigation, a high degree of autonomy, and intelligent software functions that enable Over-the-Air updates, among other things. These characteristics help make the material flow scalable and ensure the system’s long-term future viability.
The ETV 216i was also recognized for its thoughtful product design. As the world’s first high-lift truck with a permanently installed lithium-ion battery, it offers a particularly compact design that ensures optimal all-round visibility and high maneuverability. The clear design and ergonomic arrangement create a work environment that enhances efficiency, safety, and comfort equally, even in narrow aisles or demanding application areas. The powerful technology makes the ETV 216i a reliable partner in intensive warehouse operations.
