Oct 10, 2024 at 2:12 PMFor the future of the economy, logistics real estate is becoming increasingly important. At the major industry meeting of BUILDINX – INNOVATIONS FOR LOGISTICS PROPERTIES, which brings together all stakeholders from November 19 to 21, 2024, in Dortmund, financing and investment topics are therefore an important aspect. Visitors can expect a diverse program, ranging from the status quo of the investment market to practical insights into funding opportunities.
(Dortmund) The German logistics real estate market is on a recovery path this year. With an impressive transaction volume of around 2.8 billion euros in the first half of the year, the previous year’s result was exceeded by almost 84 percent, according to a market report by BNP Paribas Real Estate [1]. This positive development underscores the increasing attractiveness of logistics real estate as an investment object, especially in times of economic uncertainty.
Growing Importance of Logistics Real Estate
Dr. Malte-Maria Münchow, spokesperson for the Logistics Real Estate Initiative (Logix) and head of acquisition and sale of special real estate at Deka Immobilien Investment GmbH, emphasizes the growing importance of logistics real estate for the future of the economy. He highlights three central factors: “Innovation, sustainability, and municipal dialogue.” In his keynote at BUILDINX on the topic “Logistics Real Estate Investment Market – Status Quo and Outlook” on November 21, 2024, he will delve deeper into this subject area. The concept of sustainability in investment funds and the requirements for “light green” and “dark green” investments will be illuminated by Dr. Ute Brunner-Reumann, Senior Counsel at the international law firm DLA Piper, in her presentation on the same day.
Third Day Focused on Finance and Investor Topics
“The lecture program on the third day of BUILDINX is focused on finance and investor topics related to logistics and industrial real estate,” explains Tim Knittel, project manager of the BUILDINX trade fair team. “The presentation of current market analyses and investment trends increases market transparency and aids in informed decision-making. From our perspective, BUILDINX is an ideal platform for investors, developers, financial experts, and municipal decision-makers to network and forge partnerships. This can lead to new business relationships and investment opportunities.”
