Transco expands warehouse logistics
Mar 27, 2026 at 9:03 AMRaildox has expanded its collaboration with the Switzerland-based company European Loc Pool (ELP) through the recent order of a „Euro9000“ multi-system locomotive. This decision marks the first deployment of the new hybrid locomotive in Raildox’s fleet and is intended to support the expansion of the company’s international freight transport, as stated.
The „Euro9000“ was chosen according to company information to meet the demands for cross-border transport solutions in Europe. Raildox relies on powerful locomotives capable of operating on different rail networks. The locomotive offers an electric power output of 9 MW, is equipped with two diesel engines, each providing 950 kW, and has a tractive effort of 500 kN. These specifications make the „Euro9000“ the most powerful multi-system locomotive in European freight transport, according to the manufacturer.
The „Euro9000“ enables operation under various power systems and on non-electrified sections of track. This is advantageous for complex international transport chains that require flexible handling, as the companies state.
Frank Rudolf, Managing Director of Raildox, emphasizes the importance of the Euro9000 for the company: “For Raildox, the high performance, multi-system capability, and cross-border usability of the ‚Euro9000‘ were decisive factors. As a railway company focused on international freight transport, we need locomotives that can be flexibly deployed in various European networks.”
