Mar 24, 2026 at 8:31 AMFlorian Kollmann (second from left) will become Deputy Managing Director of Air + Sea Services in Germany on April 1, 2026. In his new role, he will lead the division together with Klaus Hrazdira (right), the current Managing Director, and prepare for the takeover of management in 2027. Hrazdira will continue to be responsible for the entire Air + Sea Services business area at the European level.
Kollmann has been part of the Geis Group since December 2018 and has led the Fulda location in the sea freight sector for the past seven years. In 2025, he was also appointed to the management of the Geis Group, where he contributed to the further development of the sea freight business. Klaus Hrazdira spoke positively about Kollmann’s appointment and highlighted his extensive knowledge of the company and its customers.
Strategic Realignment of the Business Area
The decision to appoint Kollmann is part of the ongoing restructuring of the Air + Sea Services business area, which was initiated in April 2025. With the transfer of overall responsibility to Hrazdira, the division was centralized across Europe. The managing partners Hans Wolfgang Geis (second from right) and Jochen Geis (left) emphasized that the expansion of leadership aims to continue the growth of the business area and focus on European centralization.
During the transition phase, the management of Geis Air + Sea Germany, which also includes Sabine Geis, Ralph Hess, and Ralf Mihm, has taken over operational responsibility in the German market. Hrazdira praised the team’s work over the past 14 months and emphasized that the succession search could proceed thoughtfully and without pressure.
Promoting Internal Talent
The Geis Group pursues the strategy of filling key positions primarily with internal talent. The shareholders Geis stated that they rely on continuity from within and want to consistently pursue the path they have taken. Kollmann has developed significantly in his previous role, thus qualifying himself for the new position. This internal solution is intended to support the strategic course that Hrazdira and the management in Germany have taken in recent months.
