
Delegation trip strengthens Hamburg’s relations
Feb 20, 2026 at 11:33 AMThe Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) has increased its group revenue by 9.9 percent to €1,756 million in the fiscal year 2025, compared to €1,598 million in the previous year. The operating result (EBIT) rose by 19.5 percent to €161 million, while it was €134 million in the previous year. Despite this positive development, the group net profit was significantly impacted by one-time tax effects, amounting to €10 million, compared to €33 million in the previous year. The sub-segment Port Logistics contributed €1 million to the net profit.
Dividend Not Paid
Group-wide container throughput increased by 5.4 percent to 6,295 thousand standard containers (TEU), while 5,970 thousand TEU were handled in the previous year. In the Intermodal segment, transport volume rose by 10.9 percent to 1,982 thousand TEU, compared to 1,787 thousand TEU in the previous year.
Jeroen Eijsink, CEO of HHLA, commented on the results: “In the fiscal year 2025, HHLA was able to achieve solid growth in both container handling at the terminals and container transport by rail and road – all in an extremely challenging market environment. Our results also demonstrate how important it is to continue optimizing our processes to strengthen HHLA’s overall performance.”
