Feb 18, 2026 at 10:10 AMThe Hupac Group has announced the appointment of Britta Weber as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). She will assume her new position on July 1, 2026, succeeding Michail Stahlhut, whose resignation has already been announced. With Weber, a woman will lead the company for the first time in its nearly 60-year history.
Britta Weber brings extensive international experience in the logistics industry. She is currently the Vice President at UPS Healthcare for Europe and Asia. Her expertise spans logistics, supply chain management, and organizational development. She has lived and worked in the main markets of the Hupac Group, underscoring her suitability for the new role.
Strategic Realignment in Focus
Weber’s appointment is seen as a strategic move by the Board of Directors to shape the future development of the Hupac Group. The focus is on further developing combined transport, expanding sustainable transport solutions, and strengthening the market position in intermodal land transport in Europe. Hans-Jörg Bertschi, Chairman of the Board, expressed positive sentiments about the decision: “I am very pleased to welcome Britta Weber in her new role. She combines a clear strategic vision with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of our customers‘ needs.”
Weber herself emphasizes the honor of becoming part of the Hupac Group. She highlights that the company stands not only for economic success but also pursues a clear societal mission: promoting sustainable logistics and shifting traffic to rail. “I am particularly looking forward to collaborating with the strong management team, which I approach with great respect for what has been achieved,” she added.
During the transition period, the operational leadership will be ensured by the two deputies of the CEO, Benedetta Masciari and Alessandro Valenti, as well as by Bernhard Kunz, Delegate of the Board of Directors.
The Hupac Group is a significant network operator in intermodal transport in Europe. With approximately 1 million transported road consignments annually and 130 trains daily, the company connects central European economic areas as well as destinations as far as the Far East. Hupac relies on digital logistics solutions and contributes to shifting freight transport to rail, which also benefits environmental and climate protection.
Founded in 1967 in Chiasso, Switzerland, Hupac has developed into an international corporate group with 24 companies in several European countries as well as in China. With around 730 employees and a modern fleet of 8,300 modules, the company offers reliable transport solutions in combined transport.
