Feb 17, 2026 at 11:01 AMKristian Jönsson has taken over the position of Managing Director of Dachser Nordics on February 1. In this role, he is responsible for the three business areas Dachser European Logistics, Dachser Food Logistics, and Dachser Air & Sea Logistics in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. Jönsson brings more than 20 years of international leadership experience, which he gained at companies such as Coresec Systems and Elfa International. He holds a Master of Science in Finance and Accounting from Lund University in Sweden.
Expansion of Responsibilities
In addition to his role at Dachser Nordics, Kristian Jönsson has also been leading the subsidiary Frigoscandia since August 2024, which was acquired by Dachser in January 2024. Frigoscandia specializes in food logistics and has locations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland. Jönsson commented on his new responsibility: “I look forward to expanding my area of responsibility at Dachser and driving the company’s growth in the Nordic countries comprehensively.”
Alexander Tonn, COO Road Logistics at Dachser, commented on Jönsson’s appointment as a step towards standardizing and streamlining the leadership and organizational structure in the Nordic region. Tonn emphasized that the close interconnection of Dachser’s business areas could create synergies in production and provide customers with comprehensive transport and logistics services from a single source. Jönsson’s international management experience will be crucial for the further development of the region.
Integration of Frigoscandia
The integration of Frigoscandia into the Dachser structures is already underway. Since the beginning of 2024, Frigoscandia has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dachser. The complete integration of the Norwegian and Finnish activities of the food logistics subsidiary into the Dachser network is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. The integration in Denmark will follow later this year.
