This means that each resident in Austria received more than 25 packages on average. On an international level, the corporate group also shows positive development: more than half a billion packages were transported in 13 countries.
Growth in the Parcel Business
Peter Umundum, Deputy General Director and Board Member for Parcel & Logistics of Österreichische Post AG, commented on the results: “In 2025, we delivered 232 million packages in Austria alone, and in December we even reached daily highs of up to 1.65 million packages.” Umundum emphasized that Österreichische Post, as an integrated logistics group, is well-positioned and is setting new impulses in Austria as well as in Southeast and Eastern Europe. This is being achieved through the expansion of capacities and the introduction of cross-border e-commerce services.
The international presence of Österreichische Post is also reflected in the numbers: subsidiaries in Southeast and Eastern Europe, as well as Turkey, transported a total of 279 million packages. This allows the corporate group to reach approximately 150 million recipients in 13 countries, including Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Uzbekistan, Turkey, and Austria.
The results from the past year highlight the importance of Österreichische Post in the logistics sector and its ability to adapt to the growing demands of the market.
