LogBer Supports Companies in Retrofitting Intralogistics
Oct 10, 2023 at 3:52 PMIn 2022, the packaging specialist TransPack-Krumbach moved to its new central location in Neuburg an der Kammel and expanded its storage space. With this step, the wholesaler continues to invest in its just-in-time logistics and provides customers with valuable storage space for packaging materials.
(Neuburg an der Kammel) As the storage space in the old building was exhausted, TransPack-Krumbach recently invested in a new central warehouse. A modern high-bay warehouse, 16 meters high, has been created, offering a total of 32,000 square meters of storage space for all types of packaging materials. The adjacent plot of land in the new industrial area in Neuburg an der Kammel is already available for further expansion.
“The gained storage space provides us as a specialist retailer for transport packaging with a competitive advantage that we are happy to pass on to our customers,” explains Managing Director Leopold Nuscheler. “Especially during the Corona pandemic, we became even more aware of how flexible and independent stored goods make the supply chain. In times of e-commerce, a business without packaging can quickly come to a standstill.”
Logistics Concept with Future Potential
With the offer of ‘Just in Time delivery’, TransPack-Krumbach passes its logistical advantage on to its customers. This allows them to efficiently place orders for packaging materials and have their goods delivered on demand, on time within 3-48 hours by TransPack-Krumbach.
The company’s own truck fleet as well as the organization in the warehouse have been specifically designed by the packaging specialist for the just-in-time and just-in-sequence logistics system. Nuscheler adds: “That this concept also benefits our customers from the northern German region, we also offer decentralized storage options in close proximity to our customers.” With just-in-time delivery, the customer can not only gain additional storage space for their ‘core product’ but also increase their own liquidity.
