Nov 12, 2020 at 7:30 AMLufthansa Cargo AG accelerates the booking process. Customers can now complete their bookings in three simple steps. The new online booking portal eBooking has been available to all Lufthansa Cargo customers since yesterday.
(Frankfurt am Main) – From now on, to make a booking, it is only necessary to specify the shipment, choose the product, and confirm the route. The system guides customers comfortably through the booking process with automatic suggestions and suitable options. Subsequently, the booking system calculates a directly bookable price. Changes can also be made afterwards with just a few clicks. This makes the booking process even faster and easier for all customers and can be confirmed immediately. Thus, the freight carrier is once again driving the digital transformation in the air freight industry forward. In the new booking portal, Lufthansa Cargo also demonstrates responsibility towards climate and environment: With the integrated emissions calculator, all customers have the opportunity to determine the CO2 emissions caused by the transport and to compensate for them in the future. Most Customers Already Book Online“Most of our customers are already booking online today. With the new eBooking, we are improving this digital interface with our customers. Access to our capacity with bookable prices is now even easier for our customers 24/7. Our sales team will continue to focus on the individual needs of our customers,” explains Dorothea von Boxberg, Lufthansa Cargo Board Member for Product and Sales. After expanding digital interfaces, introducing dynamic pricing “RapidRateResponse,” and implementing digital shipment verification, Lufthansa Cargo has achieved another milestone in its digitalization strategy with the new eBooking. At the same time, the freight airline has taken a decisive step further in digitally mapping the entire supply chain and separating the data flow from physical freight traffic.www.lufthansa-cargo.comImage: © Lufthansa Cargo AG
