Esta iniciativa segue um Memorando de Entendimento (MoU) assinado em junho de 2025 durante o Paris Air Show entre as duas empresas.<\/p>\n<h3>Foco na tecnologia de hidrog\u00eanio<\/h3>\n<p>A nova empresa dever\u00e1 ter uma estrutura organizacional \u00e1gil para acelerar o desenvolvimento tecnol\u00f3gico, o design, os testes e a certifica\u00e7\u00e3o de um sistema de propuls\u00e3o inovador para a avia\u00e7\u00e3o baseado em c\u00e9lulas de combust\u00edvel a hidrog\u00eanio. Airbus e MTU trar\u00e3o suas compet\u00eancias, bem como v\u00e1rias equipes de engenharia e fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o de ambas as organiza\u00e7\u00f5es para a joint venture.<\/p>\n<p>O acordo n\u00e3o vinculativo est\u00e1 sujeito \u00e0s aprova\u00e7\u00f5es regulat\u00f3rias habituais e \u00e0 realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de processos sociais em n\u00edvel europeu e nacional. O in\u00edcio da joint venture est\u00e1 previsto para 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Bruno Fichefeux, chefe dos programas futuros da Airbus, declarou:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cNossa joint venture planejada \u00e9 o pr\u00f3ximo passo l\u00f3gico em nossa vis\u00e3o conjunta de um conceito de propuls\u00e3o baseado em hidrog\u00eanio para a avia\u00e7\u00e3o. Ao unir nossas tecnologias e conhecimentos em uma unidade especializada, criamos uma for\u00e7a europeia capaz de transformar pesquisa avan\u00e7ada em sistemas de propuls\u00e3o el\u00e9trica industrializados e certific\u00e1veis.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Dr. Stefan Weber, Vice-Presidente S\u00eanior de Engenharia e Tecnologia da MTU Aero Engines, enfatizou:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cNosso objetivo ambicioso \u00e9 abrir caminho para um sistema de propuls\u00e3o rec\u00e9m-desenvolvido, seguro, confi\u00e1vel e econ\u00f4mico, que contribua para a avia\u00e7\u00e3o clim\u00e1tica neutra. Este projeto \u00e9 um passo decisivo em nossa jornada rumo ao primeiro sistema de propuls\u00e3o movido a hidrog\u00eanio.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>O hidrog\u00eanio tem o potencial de reduzir significativamente o impacto clim\u00e1tico da avia\u00e7\u00e3o a longo prazo e transformar o transporte a\u00e9reo de maneira semelhante ao que os ve\u00edculos el\u00e9tricos fizeram com a ind\u00fastria automobil\u00edstica.<\/p>\n<h3>Buscar lideran\u00e7a tecnol\u00f3gica<\/h3>\n<p>A joint venture ser\u00e1 guiada pelo esfor\u00e7o conjunto dos parceiros para criar um l\u00edder tecnol\u00f3gico nesta \u00e1rea e fornecer o primeiro sistema de propuls\u00e3o a c\u00e9lulas de combust\u00edvel baseado em hidrog\u00eanio para aeronaves comerciais. Ela combinar\u00e1 o extenso conhecimento da Airbus em aeronaves comerciais com a longa experi\u00eancia da MTU no desenvolvimento de tecnologias de c\u00e9lulas de combust\u00edvel e a reconhecida expertise em design, integra\u00e7\u00e3o, valida\u00e7\u00e3o e certifica\u00e7\u00e3o de motores.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m das tecnologias de propuls\u00e3o, Airbus e MTU tamb\u00e9m promover\u00e3o o surgimento de uma economia de avia\u00e7\u00e3o a hidrog\u00eanio, bem como o quadro regulat\u00f3rio associado, que tamb\u00e9m representa condi\u00e7\u00f5es essenciais para a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o em larga escala de voos movidos a hidrog\u00eanio.<\/p>\n<p>Em mar\u00e7o de 2025, a Airbus j\u00e1 havia anunciado que concentraria seus esfor\u00e7os em um sistema de propuls\u00e3o totalmente el\u00e9trico com c\u00e9lulas de combust\u00edvel. Os resultados dos testes de prot\u00f3tipos de c\u00e9lulas de combust\u00edvel e sistemas de propuls\u00e3o, bem como a pesquisa em tecnologias complementares como criogenia, apoiam a viabilidade dessa tecnologia.
