Tot 1 juli 2026 zal Patrick Zilles (l.) de leiding van de afdeling Strategic Product Management Intermodal bij de HGK Logistics and Intermodal GmbH (HGK LI) overnemen. Met deze personeelsbeslissing streeft het bedrijf uit Keulen ernaar zijn competenties in het intermodale vervoer uit te breiden en de strategische verdere ontwikkeling van zijn container- en netwerkactiviteiten te bevorderen.<\/p>\n

De benoeming van Zilles vindt plaats in het kader van een transformatieprogramma van de HGK-groep, dat tot doel heeft de vier containerterminals aan de Rijn in D\u00fcsseldorf, Krefeld, Keulen en Duisburg nauwer met elkaar te verbinden. Het doel is om deze te ontwikkelen als een ge\u00efntegreerd prestatie-netwerk. Hierbij moeten structuren, processen en aanbiedingen locatie-overstijgend worden geharmoniseerd en gedigitaliseerd om te voldoen aan de eisen van moderne toeleveringsketens.<\/p>\n

Markus Kr\u00e4mer (r.), CEO van de HGK Logistics and Intermodal GmbH, sprak positief over de aanstelling van Zilles: \u201eMet Patrick Zilles verwerven we een erkende kenner van de intermodale markt. Hij zal ons helpen de terminal- en netwerkstructuren verder te ontwikkelen en ons dienstenaanbod gericht aan te passen aan toekomstige markteisen.\u201c<\/p>\n

Focus op digitale processen en trimodale vervoerswijzen<\/h3>\n

Een centraal aspect van de strategie is de uitbreiding van digitale processen en de co\u00f6rdinatie van trimodale vervoerswijzen, die binnenvaart, spoor en vrachtwagen omvatten. Het bedrijf streeft naar ge\u00efntegreerde containeroplossingen voor de industrie, handel, logistieke bedrijven en rederijen om duurzame transportketens in het Europese achterlandvervoer te versterken.<\/p>\n

Zilles brengt meer dan 20 jaar internationale ervaring in intermodaal vervoer, spoorvrachtvervoer en logistiek mee. Laatstelijk was hij bij DFDS verantwoordelijk voor de wereldwijde rail- en intermodale activiteiten en kon hij dit gebied succesvol naar duurzame winstgevendheid ontwikkelen. Eerder richtte hij een intermodale operator op en leidde hij deze tot de overname door DFDS. Verdere stappen in zijn carri\u00e8re omvatten leidinggevende posities bij bedrijven zoals Samskip, TX Logistik, K\u00fchne + Nagel en DB Schenker.<\/p>\n

\u201eDe HGK Logistics and Intermodal beschikt met haar locaties langs de Rijn en de nabijheid van belangrijke economische regio’s over uitstekende voorwaarden voor verdere groei\u201c, verklaarde Zilles. Hij benadrukte dat het voor hem bijzonder aantrekkelijk is om de sterke punten van de locaties te verbinden tot een ge\u00efntegreerd, klantgericht netwerk en de kansen van de modal shift naar spoor en binnenvaart te benutten.<\/p>\n

In zijn nieuwe functie zal Zilles de verdere ontwikkeling van de terminal- en netwerkstructuren bevorderen. Met deze personeelsbeslissing is de HGK Logistics and Intermodal van plan haar positie in de groeiende intermodale markt verder uit te breiden.<\/p>\n
