Lufthansa Cargo heeft de voltooiing van de eerste bouwfase van zijn infrastructuurproject „LCCevo“ op de luchthaven van Frankfurt gevierd. Deze fase, die ALPHA wordt genoemd, vormt een belangrijke stap in de uitgebreide modernisering van het vrachtcentrum in Frankfurt. Met een totale investering van 600 miljoen EUR moet het Lufthansa Cargo Center tegen 2030 worden omgevormd tot een van de modernste luchtvrachtcentra van Europa. De bouwwerkzaamheden beslaan een oppervlakte van ongeveer 80.000 m\u00b2, wat overeenkomt met ongeveer 11 voetbalvelden, en vinden plaats tijdens de lopende operatie, 24 uur per dag.<\/p>\n

Technologische vernieuwingen ter verhoging van de effici\u00ebntie<\/h3>\n

In het middelpunt van de nieuwe infrastructuur staan intelligente materiaalstroom- en transportsystemen die alle processtappen naadloos met elkaar verbinden. Tot de faciliteiten behoort een volledig geautomatiseerd hoogbouwmagazijn met een hoogte van 42 m en bijna 3.000 opslagplaatsen voor grote vrachtpaletten. Daarnaast wordt er een modern geautomatiseerd palletmagazijn voor temperatuurgevoelige en gespecialiseerde zendingen ingericht. Het hoogbouwmagazijn zal in staat zijn om meer dan 300 opslag- en afroepprocessen per uur mogelijk te maken, waardoor de capaciteit wordt verdubbeld.<\/p>\n

Ashwin Bhat, CEO van Lufthansa Cargo, sprak zijn waardering uit over de voortgang: „Met de start van fase ALPHA wordt een visie werkelijkheid. LCCevo is een van de belangrijkste investeringen in de geschiedenis van ons bedrijf en een duidelijke toewijding aan Frankfurt als luchtvrachtknooppunt.“ Hij benadrukte de noodzaak om te investeren in de langetermijnprestaties van de locatie om te voldoen aan de eisen van de wereldmarkten.<\/p>\n

Toewijding aan Frankfurt als luchtvrachtknooppunt<\/h3>\n

Dr. Michael Niggemann, lid van de raad van bestuur van Deutsche Lufthansa AG, benadrukte dat de investering in het nieuwe LCCevo-luchtvrachtcentrum een belangrijke bijdrage levert aan het versterken van de leidende positie in de luchtvrachtsector. „De nauwe integratie van passagiers- en vrachtoperaties is een sleutelsterkte van de Lufthansa Group,“ aldus Niggemann. Deze investering is een verdere stap in de toekomst van het succesvolle bedrijfsmodel en versterkt Frankfurt als een van de belangrijkste internationale knooppunten.<\/p>\n

Kaweh Mansoori, de Hessische minister van Economie en Verkeer, benadrukte de centrale rol van de luchthaven van Frankfurt in de Europese luchtvrachtlogistiek. „Moderne infrastructuur is de basis voor groei, hoogwaardige werkgelegenheid en duurzame waardecreatie,“ zei Mansoori en verwees naar de ondersteuning van het project door het Hessische Ministerie van Economie.<\/p>\n

Stefan Schnorr, staatssecretaris van het Federale Ministerie van Verkeer, voegde toe dat luchtvracht voor veel sleutelindustrie\u00ebn in Duitsland onmisbaar is. „Betrouwbare, veilige en snelle toegang tot internationale markten is van cruciaal belang,“ aldus Schnorr. Hij verwelkomde de inzet van de Lufthansa Group voor Duitsland als luchtvrachtknooppunt.<\/p>\n

Vooruitblik op de toekomst<\/h3>\n

Ter gelegenheid van het 100-jarig bestaan van de Lufthansa Group wordt niet alleen teruggeblikt op de geschiedenis, maar ook vooruitgekeken naar de toekomst. Met LCCevo legt Lufthansa Cargo een belangrijke basis voor de komende decennia. In de komende jaren zullen de bouwfasen BRAVO en CHARLIE volgen, die het Lufthansa Cargo Center tot 2030 verder moeten moderniseren. Naast effici\u00ebntie en prestaties zal ook duurzaamheid een centrale rol spelen. Er zijn plannen voor zonnepanelen op ongeveer 19.000 m\u00b2 dakoppervlak, evenals moderne gebouwtechnologie\u00ebn en intelligente warmteterugwinningssystemen om het energieverbruik en de emissies te verminderen.<\/p>\n
