Dit komt overeen met een stijging van acht keer in vergelijking met de huidige waarden. Deze prognose is afkomstig uit een studie van het Instituut voor Motorvoertuigen (ika) van de RWTH Aachen University, die in opdracht van de DSLV Bundesverband Spedition und Logistik is uitgevoerd. Het onderzoek analyseert de toekomstige energie- en vermogensbehoefte voor logistieke vastgoedobjecten, evenals voor het weg- en spoorvervoer van goederen in de periode van 2025 tot 2045.<\/p>\n<h3>Oorzaken van de stijging<\/h3>\n<p>Een centrale factor voor de significante stijging van de elektriciteitsbehoefte is volgens de DSLV de wettelijk voorgeschreven decarbonisatie van het wegvervoer van goederen. Volgens de resultaten van de studie wordt in het basislijnscenario uitgegaan van een hoge mate van implementatie van de Europese regelgeving met betrekking tot de CO2-vlootlimieten. Dit betekent dat vanaf 2040 al 90 procent van alle nieuw geregistreerde vrachtwagens lokaal emissievrij moet zijn. Voor het jaar 2045 wordt voorspeld dat het wegvervoer van goederen 155,8 TWh zal verbruiken, wat 83,8 procent van de totale elektriciteitsbehoefte van de onderzochte deelsectoren vertegenwoordigt.<\/p>\n<p>Daarnaast zal de exploitatie van logistieke vastgoedobjecten, waaronder distributiecentra, fulfilmentcentra, cross-docks, koelhuizen en hoogbouwmagazijnen, een verbruik van 22,3 TWh (12,0 procent) vertonen. Het spoorvervoer van goederen zal naar verwachting nog eens 7,8 TWh (4,2 procent) nodig hebben.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8222;De resultaten van de RWTH-studie maken de politieke noodzaak tot handelen onmiskenbaar. De logistieke sector wordt steeds energie-intensiever.
