In het kader van deze samenwerking is het logistieke centrum van DSV in het Nederlandse Venlo uitgerust met het &#8222;Skypod-systeem&#8220;. Het doel van deze implementatie is volgens een mededeling van Exotec om de fulfillmentprocessen voor verschillende retailmerken te optimaliseren en de toeleveringsketens uit te breiden.<\/p>\n<h3>Automatisering in het magazijn<\/h3>\n<p>Het &#8222;Skypod-systeem&#8220; van Exotec maakt gebruik van ongeveer 100 autonome robots die volgens de fabrikant in staat zijn om ongeveer 90.000 containers en trays te beheren. Deze oplossing kan snel worden uitgebreid bij een toenemende vraag of veranderingen in het productassortiment, zonder dat ingrijpende verbouwingen nodig zijn.<\/p>\n<p>Het systeem functioneert als een Goods-to-Person-oplossing, waarbij de goederen automatisch naar de medewerkers worden vervoerd. Dit moet ook bij een hoog bestelvolume snelle en betrouwbare processen waarborgen. Daarnaast omvat de installatie een tussenlaag voor retouren en biedt het functies zoals het automatisch openen, sluiten en etiketteren van dozen.<\/p>\n<p>Jan Heijblom, Senior Sales Executive bij Exotec Benelux, zegt over de samenwerking: \u201eWe zijn blij DSV te ondersteunen bij de verdere ontwikkeling van de locatie in Venlo.
