BLG LOGISTICS heeft vandaag de nieuwe locatie Zuidhaven „Roter Sand“ in Bremerhaven geopend. Op een oppervlakte van ongeveer 60.000 vierkante meter is een moderne infrastructuur gecre\u00eberd die gericht is op de overslag en technische verwerking van zwaar- en complexe projectladingen. De offici\u00eble opening werd verricht door Axel Krichel, lid van de raad van bestuur en COO van de BLG-groep, samen met senator Kristina Vogt en Matthias Magnor, de voorzitter van de raad van bestuur van BLG.<\/p>\n

Infrastructuur voor High & Heavy projectlogistiek<\/h3>\n

De Zuidhaven „Roter Sand“ is speciaal ontworpen voor de eisen van de High & Heavy projectlogistiek. Direct aan de kade staan vier hallen voor technische werkzaamheden ter beschikking. Het centrale element van het nieuwe terrein is hal 14, die is uitgerust met een bovenloopkraan en de mogelijkheid biedt om grote componenten direct aan het water te monteren.<\/p>\n

Twee ligplaatsen met een totale lengte van 600 meter zijn bestemd voor Deep-Sea-RoRo-carriers. Om de veilige bevestiging van grote schepen te waarborgen, zijn er elf nieuwe hoge pollers ge\u00efnstalleerd. De infrastructuur wordt aangevuld met een moderne IT-verbinding, die is gerealiseerd door een speciaal door de Kaiserhaven aangelegde glasvezelkabel.<\/p>\n

Uitbreiding van de capaciteiten in Bremerhaven<\/h3>\n

Met deze investering breidt BLG LOGISTICS de capaciteiten op het gebied van zwaar- en projectlogistiek in Bremerhaven uit. De opening markeert een belangrijke stap na een langere bouw- en planningsfase, die onder andere door het gebruik van vervangende bouwmaterialen extra uitdagingen met zich meebracht.<\/p>\n

Senator Kristina Vogt sprak positief over de nieuwe locatie: „Met de nieuwe locatie kan Bremerhaven zich op het gebied van zwaar- en projectladingen nog beter ontwikkelen. Dit zorgt voor meer capaciteiten en effici\u00ebntere processen en versterkt tegelijkertijd de betekenis van de haven voor de economie in het land.“ Ze benadrukte dat de investering van BLG een sterk signaal is voor de creatie van een betrouwbare haveninfrastructuur, die bedrijven kortere wegen en meer planningszekerheid bij veeleisende transporten biedt.<\/p>\n

Axel Krichel voegde toe: „De locatie ‚Roter Sand‘ is onze verlengde werkbank met wateraansluiting en een duidelijke toewijding aan het gebied van High & Heavy. Met dit terrein ontsluiten we nieuwe bedrijfsgebieden binnen de projectlogistiek en cre\u00ebren we extra capaciteiten voor technische diensten direct aan de kade.“<\/p>\n

Belangrijke locatie in het Europese RoRo-verkeer<\/h3>\n

Het High-&-Heavy-segment op de BLG AutoTerminal Bremerhaven behoort tot de leidende locaties in het Europese RoRo-verkeer. Met een overslagvolume van ongeveer een miljoen ton High-&-Heavy-goederen per jaar behoort de terminal tot de grootste in zijn soort in Europa.<\/p>\n

Jaarlijks worden ongeveer 1.000 vertrekkingen naar meer dan 200 havens wereldwijd uitgevoerd, wat diverse verbindingen voor de internationale projectlogistiek mogelijk maakt. De nieuwe locatie breidt de bestaande capaciteiten uit, met name op het gebied van technische verwerking en waterzijdige projectuitvoering. Al nu worden in de Zuidhaven de eerste opdrachten uit de projectlogistiek afgehandeld, wat de praktische toepasbaarheid van de nieuwe infrastructuur en de behoefte aan extra capaciteiten in het gebied van High & Heavy onderstreept.<\/p>\n
