Op 13 mei 2026 werd het nieuwe logistieke centrum 2 van het Zwitserse logistieke bedrijf Galliker officieel geopend op de locatie S. Antonino in Ticino. Onder de genodigden bevond zich onder andere Fabio Regazzi, lid van de Raad van State van het kanton Ticino. De aanwezigen kregen de kans om het moderne gebouw en de bijbehorende logistieke processen en diensten te bezichtigen. Met deze uitbreiding reageert Galliker op de toenemende vraag naar gespecialiseerde logistieke ruimtes in Zuid-Zwitserland en vergroot het zijn capaciteit met ongeveer 13.279 m\u00b2.<\/p>\n

Multifunctioneel Logistiek Centrum<\/h3>\n

Het nieuwe logistieke centrum is ontworpen als een multifunctioneel gebouw dat flexibel kan inspelen op verschillende klantbehoeften en productgroepen. Het biedt twee verdiepingen voor de opslag van goederen in verschillende temperatuurzones, waaronder Ambient, Fresh en Frigo. De goederenafhandeling gebeurt via 24 laadperrons op de begane grond, terwijl twee krachtige goederenliften en twee palletliften de materiaalstroom tussen de verdiepingen waarborgen. Daarnaast zijn er moderne kantoorruimtes, sociale ruimtes en een ontspanningsruimte beschikbaar.<\/p>\n

Het logistieke centrum is uitgerust met een geavanceerd energiesysteem dat in lijn is met de strategie „Green Logistics by Galliker“. De energievoorziening gebeurt onder andere via een zonnepaneleninstallatie op het dak met een vermogen van 1,17 MWp, evenals door het gebruik van grondwater voor verwarmings- en koelprocessen.<\/p>\n

Integratie van Duurzame Oplossingen<\/h3>\n

Samen met het bestaande logistieke centrum 1 ontwikkelt de locatie S. Antonino zich tot een uitgebreid „Net Zero“-systeem. Dit systeem omvat een middenspanningsnet, twee zonnepaneleninstallaties met een jaarlijkse elektriciteitsproductie van meer dan 2 GWh, een grote batterijopslag en een oplaadinfrastructuur met in de toekomst 53 oplaadpunten. Op deze manier worden hernieuwbare energie, elektriciteitsopslag, slimme sturing en duurzame mobiliteit effici\u00ebnt met elkaar verbonden. De gehele zelf geproduceerde elektriciteit van de PV-installaties kan direct ter plaatse worden gebruikt voor het beheer van de gebouwen of voor emissievrije transporten.<\/p>\n

De uitgebreide oplaadinfrastructuur maakt de bevoorrading van de al voor meer dan 50% ge\u00eblektrificeerde vrachtwagenvloot op de locatie S. Antonino mogelijk. Bovendien wordt de integratie van elektrische vrachtwagens in het grensoverschrijdende verkeer tussen Itali\u00eb en Zwitserland bevorderd. In combinatie met de bestaande spoorverbinding draagt Galliker bij aan het duurzaam vormgeven van de toeleveringsketen. Vooral bij het transport van gevoelige goederen, zoals gevaarlijke stoffen, biedt het spoor in vergelijking met de weg via de Gotthardtunnel een beslissend veiligheidsvoordeel.<\/p>\n

Met deze gerichte uitbreiding versterkt Galliker zijn aanwezigheid in Ticino en zet het een stap richting innovatie en duurzaamheid langs de Gotthard-route. Bovendien ontstaan er in de regio nieuwe banen en extra opleidings- en ontwikkelingsmogelijkheden. De opening van het logistieke centrum in S. Antonino vormt dan ook een belangrijke stap in de bedrijfs geschiedenis en benadrukt de voortdurende uitbreiding van moderne logistieke oplossingen.<\/p>\n
