In 2025 verwerkten de Duitse douaniers bijna 790 miljoen goederenposities met een totale waarde van ongeveer 1,4 biljoen EUR. De stijging ten opzichte van het voorgaande jaar is vooral te wijten aan de groei van de internationale onlinehandel. De douane registreerde alleen al op het gebied van de invoer van post- en koerierszendingen een stijging van ongeveer 192 miljoen goederenposities. Om te voldoen aan de eisen van de groeiende e-commerce, vertrouwt de douane op een modern digitaal afhandelingssysteem en een flexibel personeelsinzetconcept dat wederzijdse ondersteuning van de douanekantoren mogelijk maakt.<\/p>\n

Bundesfinanzminister Lars Klingbeil en Dr. Armin Rolfink, president van de Algemene Douanedirectie, presenteerden de jaarbalans op de luchthaven Leipzig\/Halle, een van de grootste luchtvrachtcentra in Europa. Ze benadrukten de uitdagingen waarmee de douane wordt geconfronteerd en de successen die zijn behaald.<\/p>\n

Maatregelen tegen grensoverschrijdende criminaliteit<\/h3>\n

In 2025 leidde de douane landelijk ongeveer 12.600 strafrechtelijke onderzoeken in op het gebied van grensoverschrijdende drugcriminaliteit. De zeeweg blijft de centrale route voor smokkel, met name van coca\u00efne. Om de veiligheid in de havens te verhogen, vertrouwt de douane op een nauwe samenwerking met nationale en internationale partners. In totaal verbeurde de douane het afgelopen jaar ongeveer 69 ton drugs, waaronder meer dan 54 ton marihuana en ongeveer 6,5 ton coca\u00efne. Daarnaast werden 256 miljoen sigaretten, 4,6 miljoen vervalsingen met een geschatte waarde van bijna 450 miljoen EUR, ongeveer 7500 illegale wapens en meer dan 56.600 beschermde dieren en planten in beslag genomen.<\/p>\n

Bestrijding van zwartwerk en illegale tewerkstelling<\/h3>\n

De financi\u00eble controle zwartwerk van de douane vervolgde ook in 2025 consequent gevallen van zwartwerk en illegale tewerkstelling. Landelijk werden meer dan 52.100 overtredingsprocedures en ongeveer 98.200 strafprocedures ingeleid. De controles bij ongeveer 25.800 werkgevers leidden tot gevangenisstraffen van in totaal bijna 1200 jaar. Het vastgestelde schadebedrag bedroeg ongeveer 675 miljoen EUR, wat bijdroeg aan de stabilisering van de sociale zekerheidsstelsels en de waarborging van belastinginkomsten.<\/p>\n

Financi\u00eble inkomsten van de douane<\/h3>\n

Als inkomstenbeheerder van de federale overheid ontving de douane in 2025 ongeveer 157 miljard EUR. Deze inkomsten zijn afkomstig uit verschillende bronnen, waaronder ongeveer 6 miljard EUR douane voor de begroting van de Europese Unie, ongeveer 74 miljard EUR invoer-btw en 65 miljard EUR accijnzen.<\/p>\n

Klingbeil benadrukte de rol van de douane voor eerlijke concurrentievoorwaarden en de bestrijding van criminaliteit. Hij kondigde aan de douane te versterken met 1500 extra krachten en nieuwe juridische bevoegdheden en technische instrumenten beschikbaar te stellen om op te treden tegen witwassen, wapenhandel en drugshandel. Dr. Armin Rolfink benadrukte de nauwe samenwerking van de douane met nationale en internationale autoriteiten en onderstreepte het belang van de douane voor de nationale veiligheid en de eerlijkheid in het economisch verkeer.<\/p>\n
