Am luchthaven Leipzig\/Halle (LEJ) werden in 2025 meer dan 73% van de vrachtvliegbewegingen in de nachtelijke uren geregistreerd. Dit blijkt uit een antwoord van de staatsregering op een kleine vraag van de fractievoorzitter van B\u00fcndnis 90 \/ Die Gr\u00fcnen, Franziska Schubert. In totaal vonden er 36.289 vrachtvluchten plaats tussen 22 en 6 uur, wat de belasting voor de omwonenden benadrukt. Daarnaast werden er 352 lege vluchten in de nacht geregistreerd, waarbij de staatsregering aangeeft geen informatie te hebben over de redenen voor deze lege vluchten.<\/p>\n

Kritiek op de staatsregering<\/h3>\n

Schubert uitte haar bezorgdheid over de situatie en bekritiseerde de reactie van de staatsregering. \u201eDe blinde vlucht van de staatsregering is onacceptabel. Dat bijna driekwart van alle vluchten midden in de nacht plaatsvindt, is een enorme belasting voor de mensen in de regio. Deze dimensie van nachtvluchtgeluid is onaanvaardbaar. De Freistaat is betrokken bij de Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG en zou zich hier niet moeten wegduiken\u201c, verklaarde ze.<\/p>\n

Het totale aantal vrachtvliegbewegingen op de luchthaven Leipzig\/Halle bedroeg in 2025 49.634. Schubert wees erop dat van de ongeveer 1.350 lege vluchten elke vierde ’s nachts werd uitgevoerd. Ondanks dit hoge aantal ziet de staatsregering geen verantwoordelijkheid om de noodzaak van deze lege vluchten in twijfel te trekken. \u201eTegelijkertijd pompt de Freistaat jaarlijks miljoenen euro’s in zijn luchthavens. Waar blijft de interesse in de gezondheid van de mensen die last hebben van het nachtelijke vlieggeluid? De staatsregering draagt een gedeelde verantwoordelijkheid en moet hier eindelijk aan voldoen\u201c, aldus Schubert verder.<\/p>\n

Eisen voor maatregelen<\/h3>\n

De fractievoorzitter roept de staatsregering op om concrete maatregelen te nemen. \u201eLege vluchten en hun noodzaak moeten systematisch worden geregistreerd, met name nachtelijke positioneringsvluchten moeten kritisch worden beoordeeld en verminderd. De bescherming van de bevolking tegen nachtvluchtgeluid moet aanzienlijk worden versterkt. Juist bij lege vluchten rijst de vraag of ze echt onvermijdelijk zijn \u2013 of dat hier vermijdbaar geluid wordt geaccepteerd. De staatsregering mag deze verantwoordelijkheid niet langer ontlopen\u201c, benadrukte Schubert.<\/p>\n

De ontwikkeling van de vrachtvliegbewegingen op de luchthaven Leipzig\/Halle over de afgelopen tien jaar toont een algemene stijging, wat de betekenis van de locatie als luchtvrachtcentrum onderstreept. De huidige cijfers roepen echter vragen op over de verantwoordelijkheid van de staatsregering, vooral met betrekking tot de belasting voor de omwonenden.<\/p>\n
