Met deze beslissing wordt Schmitz Cargobull, dat sinds 2024 al 49 procent van Berger in handen heeft, de volledige eigenaar van het bedrijf. De afronding van de transactie is nog onder voorbehoud van goedkeuring door de bevoegde mededingingsautoriteiten.<\/p>\n<h3>Integratie als strategische stap<\/h3>\n<p>De beslissing tot volledige overname is gebaseerd op de eerdere samenwerking die sinds 2024 bestaat. Deze samenwerking heeft aangetoond dat de lichtbouwcompetentie van Berger in combinatie met de industri\u00eble knowhow en het Europese verkoop- en servicenetwerk van Schmitz Cargobull een krachtig totaal systeem vormt. Tegen deze achtergrond is de volledige integratie voorbereid als een logische volgende stap.<\/p>\n<p>In 2025 investeerden beide bedrijven gezamenlijk in de productiefaciliteiten op de locatie Radfeld en in de ontwikkeling van de nieuwe productlijn Evolution Generation van BERGERecotrail. Deze nieuwe productlijn combineert het gewichtsgeoptimaliseerde lichtbouwchassis van Berger met het modulaire en veelzijdig inzetbare opbouwsysteem van Schmitz Cargobull.<\/p>\n<p>Andreas Schmitz, voorzitter van de raad van bestuur van Schmitz Cargobull AG, sprak zich uit over de overname: \u201eDe samenwerking heeft aangetoond hoeveel technische diepgang en betrokkenheid in de producten van Berger Fahrzeugtechnik zit. Met de overname winnen we de uitgesproken lichtbouwcompetentie van Berger, die ons portfolio ideaal aanvult. Voor onze klanten ontstaat er een nog breder aanbod van effici\u00ebnte transportoplossingen uit \u00e9\u00e9n hand.\u201c<\/p>\n<h3>Groei door sterke samenwerking<\/h3>\n<p>Gerhard Berger, hoofdaandeelhouder van Berger Fahrzeugtechnik, benadrukte de voordelen van de integratie: \u201eDe overdracht en integratie in de Schmitz Cargobull-groep is de optimale voorwaarde om onze technologie\u00ebn sneller verder te ontwikkelen en meer klanten in Europa te bereiken. De verbinding van onze lichtbouwcompetentie met de industri\u00eble kracht en het netwerk van Schmitz Cargobull vormt een solide basis voor verdere groei.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>De integratie is gericht op het langdurig veiligstellen en verder uitbreiden van de lichtbouwspecialisatie van Berger Fahrzeugtechnik. Schmitz Cargobull biedt daarvoor de geschikte structuren en randvoorwaarden.<\/p>\n<p>Voor de klanten resulteert de overname in een uitgebreid traileraanbod uit \u00e9\u00e9n hand, dat de lichtbouwoplossingen van Berger omvat en wordt aangevuld door het Europese verkoop-, service- en onderdelennetwerk van Schmitz Cargobull.
