Het DiSTILL-project, dat zich over een periode van ongeveer drie jaar heeft uitgestrekt, heeft met succes zijn afronding bereikt. Op 15 april 2026 werd het digitale plannings- en simulatie-instrument, dat is ontworpen voor de verdere ontwikkeling van het Lausitzer gebied als internationale logistieke hub, gepresenteerd tijdens een digitale afsluitingsbijeenkomst. Het instrument is nu beschikbaar in een definitieve ontwikkelingsfase en is gedurende de projectperiode continu geoptimaliseerd.<\/p>\n

Uitgebreid analyseplatform voor logistieke processen<\/h3>\n

Het DiSTILL-instrument biedt bedrijven, planners en regionale besluitvormers een uitgebreid platform voor de analyse van multimodale verkeers- en logistieke processen in de Lausitz. Het integreert weg-, spoor- en watervervoer, waardoor transportstromen transparant kunnen worden weergegeven. Knellende punten en capaciteitsrisico’s kunnen vroegtijdig worden ge\u00efdentificeerd.<\/p>\n

Op basis hiervan kunnen toekomstige ontwikkelingsscenario’s tot het jaar 2040 worden gesimuleerd door verschillende parameters zoals verkeersvolume en infrastructurele capaciteiten te vari\u00ebren. Gedetailleerde tolgegevens bieden een betrouwbare gegevensbasis voor de analyse van werkelijke goederenverkeersstromen. Voor logistieke bedrijven betekent dit dat transportketens beter kunnen worden gepland en alternatieve routes kunnen worden beoordeeld.<\/p>\n

De integratie van het Trans-Europese vervoersnetwerk (TEN-T) en centrale corridors zoals Noordzee-Baltische Zee, Rijn-Donauroute of Scandinavi\u00eb-Middellandse Zee maakt het mogelijk om de Lausitz in bredere Europese verkeersstructuren te plaatsen. Bovendien zijn locatie-informatie over luchthavens in het platform ge\u00efntegreerd, wat een gezamenlijke beschouwing van alle relevante vervoersmodaliteiten \u2013 weg, spoor, waterweg en luchtvervoer \u2013 mogelijk maakt. Dit opent nieuwe perspectieven voor de ontwikkeling van de Lausitz als logistieke locatie in internationale context.<\/p>\n

Wetenschappelijk en strategisch nut<\/h3>\n

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Straube, hoofd van de leerstoel Logistiek aan de TU Berlijn en projectleider van DiSTILL, benadrukt: \u201eDiSTILL is een instrument dat wetenschap, strategische planning en praktische logistieke eisen met elkaar verbindt. Voor bedrijven en de overheid in de Lausitz opent het instrument nieuwe mogelijkheden om transport- en infrastructuurbeslissingen niet alleen op basis van historische gegevens, maar met inachtneming van onderbouwde toekomstscenario’s te nemen.\u201c Dit cre\u00ebert planningszekerheid en versterkt de concurrentiekracht van de regio.<\/p>\n

Andr\u00e9 Fritsche, algemeen directeur van de Industrie- en Handelskamer (IHK) Cottbus, benadrukt dat het DiSTILL-project belangrijke spelers uit de sector heeft samengebracht en dat met het simulatie-instrument potentieel zichtbaar is gemaakt. Dit is cruciaal voor de Lausitz om zich duidelijk te positioneren in de concurrentie tussen logistieke locaties.<\/p>\n

Praktische relevantie en gebruikersfeedback<\/h3>\n

De praktische relevantie van het DiSTILL-instrument werd door verschillende gebruikers tijdens de afsluitingsbijeenkomst duidelijk. Ron Fiskal, projectleider bij Lobbe Industrieservice GmbH & Co KG, legt uit: \u201eDe knooppunten en gebundelde informatie in het DiSTILL-instrument hebben ons veel onderzoekswerk bespaard en ons geholpen bij de ontwikkeling van een nieuwe transportketen van de Lausitz naar Zwitserland.\u201c<\/p>\n

Sven Noatzke, directeur van de Lion Group, benadrukt de meerwaarde van de gratis iFrame-toegang tot het instrument, dat transparante inzichten in verkeers- en locatiegegevens van de regio mogelijk maakt. Mario Naumann, hoofd van Supply Chain & Site Logistics bij BASF InfraService & Solutions Lausitz GmbH, benadrukt het belang van transparante en kwalitatief hoogwaardige gegevens voor de strategische verdere ontwikkeling van de locatie-logistiek.<\/p>\n

Roland Peine, technisch directeur van ASG Spremberg GmbH, beschrijft het DiSTILL-instrument als een waardevolle kennisbron die gesprekken met bedrijven ter plaatse ondersteunt. Uwe Franz, teamleider bij Rhenus Freight East GmbH, voegt toe dat de resultaten van het instrument onderbouwde informatie leveren en helpen bij de gerichte benadering van nieuwe klanten.<\/p>\n

Langdurige beschikbaarheid van het instrument<\/h3>\n

Hoewel het project officieel eindigt op 30 april 2026, blijft het DiSTILL-instrument gedurende ten minste tien jaar toegankelijk. De gegevens en het platform blijven beschikbaar, zodat bedrijven, planners en instellingen de informatie kunnen gebruiken voor onderbouwde beslissingen over infrastructuur, transportketens en locatieontwikkeling.<\/p>\n
