Ashwin Bhat (links), voorzitter van de raad van bestuur van Lufthansa Cargo AG, sprak hierover tijdens een lezing bij de Aircargo Club Deutschland (ACD). Hij benadrukte de noodzaak van duidelijke leiding en daadkrachtig handelen in een markt die door onzekerheden wordt gekenmerkt.<\/p>\n<h3>Investeringen in de toekomst<\/h3>\n<p>Lufthansa Cargo reageert op de uitdagingen van de markt met gerichte investeringen. Op de locatie Frankfurt wordt een nieuwe vracht hub gebouwd, waarvoor de Lufthansa Group ongeveer 600 miljoen EUR beschikbaar stelt. Dit is de grootste investering van het bedrijf buiten de luchtvaartsector en moet op lange termijn invloed hebben op de effici\u00ebntie en capaciteit van het bedrijf. Bhat verklaarde: \u201eGlobalisering is niet voorbij, het verandert alleen. Handelsstromen vinden hun wegen \u2013 bepalend is hoe wij daarvoor zijn opgesteld.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Naast de ontwikkeling van infrastructuur is Lufthansa Cargo van plan om haar aanbiedingen en partnerschappen verder uit te breiden. De integratie van ITA Airways zal de beschikbare belly-capaciteit met ongeveer 20% verhogen, wat overeenkomt met de capaciteit van drie extra vrachtvliegtuigen. Ook de samenwerking met Swiss WorldCargo wordt ge\u00efntensiveerd om een uniformere marktbenadering te bereiken. Daarnaast worden de dochterondernemingen Lufthansa Cargo Customs Broker en Heyworld samengevoegd om de interne structuren te optimaliseren en de processen effici\u00ebnter te maken.<\/p>\n<h3>De betekenis van netwerken<\/h3>\n<p>ACD-voorzitter prof. dr. Christopher Stoller onderstreepte de relevantie van persoonlijke contacten in de luchtvrachtsector. Hij benadrukte dat directe uitwisseling en betrouwbare netwerken vooral in tijden van verandering cruciaal zijn. De luchtvracht blijft een \u201ePeople\u2019s Business\u201d, dat afhankelijk is van relaties en vertrouwen om ook in moeilijke tijden succesvol te opereren.<\/p>\n<p>De Aircargo Club Deutschland, opgericht in 1963, fungeert als platform voor de uitwisseling en bevordering van het luchtvrachtverkeer. Met ongeveer 200 leden die leidende posities in de sector bekleden, vertegenwoordigt de acd een dynamische sector die de internationale handel ondersteunt en de verbindingen tussen mensen en landen
